Descripción
JB Atomic Analytics is the official local-first analytics plugin for WordPress developed and published by JB Atomic Industries (https://jbatomic.com).
The package distributed on WordPress.org is fully functional without a paid license. Additional Pro functionality is distributed as a separate plugin and its implementation is not included in this package.
Included functionality
- Local visitor and session analytics stored in the WordPress database.
- Page-view and click events for essential traffic analytics.
- Dashboard metrics, traffic graph and top-page reports.
- Referrer/source reports.
- Basic technology reports: device category, browser, operating system and screen size.
- Visitor list with basic activity inspection for recorded page views and clicks.
- Configurable data retention.
- Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) enabled by default on new installations.
- Configurable IP storage: full address, strongly anonymized address (IPv4 /16, IPv6 /32) or no persistent IP storage.
- Generic CMP/cookie consent mode.
- Explicit diagnostic consent test mode for temporarily verifying collection.
- WordPress privacy-policy helper text.
- WordPress personal-data export and erasure integration for logged-in users.
- Server-issued signed collection contexts, same-origin checks, a fresh nonce-protected event endpoint and rate limiting.
Consent test mode is intended only for diagnostics. When explicitly enabled by an administrator, it temporarily bypasses the consent-cookie requirement, DNT/GPC handling, administrator exclusion and bot filtering so the complete collection path can be verified. Explicitly ignored IP addresses remain excluded. Disable test mode after testing.
JB Atomic Analytics Pro
JB Atomic Analytics Pro is distributed as a separate plugin outside WordPress.org. Its code is not included, disabled or locked in this package. The separate Pro plugin can add features such as:
- Realtime analytics.
- Heatmaps, navigation paths and funnels.
- Advanced visitor profiles and device grouping.
- IP geolocation, ISP/ASN and network intelligence.
- Network/Tor classification.
- IP, device and country blocking plus advanced security tools.
- Retention, trends and advanced UX analysis.
- Media/download and WooCommerce analytics.

Privacy
Depending on configuration and visitor activity, JB Atomic Analytics can store:
- IP address according to the configured storage mode: full, anonymized or not persistently stored.
- Pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers.
- Visited URLs, paths and page titles.
- Referrer URLs.
- Browser, operating-system, device-category and screen-size information.
- Click events associated with pseudonymous visitor/session identifiers.
- Timestamps.
This WordPress.org package does not perform IP/ISP geolocation, Tor classification, advanced device classification or IP/device/country blocking.
JB Atomic Analytics can help a site administrator implement a chosen analytics/privacy configuration, but no plugin can guarantee legal compliance. Site administrators are responsible for selecting settings appropriate to their jurisdiction and use case.
External Services
This WordPress.org package does not automatically send analytics data to JB Atomic Industries, Freemius or another external analytics service. External product, support and donation pages are opened only when an administrator chooses those links.
Source Code and Asset Licensing
The distributed first-party JavaScript files (assets/tracker.js and assets/admin.js) are human-readable and do not require compilation, transpilation or minification. The package contains no generated or minified first-party JavaScript and requires no build step.
All first-party PHP, JavaScript, CSS, documentation and bundled JB Atomic brand images in this package are distributed under GPLv2 or later. No third-party runtime library is bundled in this WordPress.org package.

Preguntas frecuentes
-
Is a paid license required for the WordPress.org package?
-
No. Every feature implemented in this package is directly usable without a paid license.
-
Where is analytics data stored?
-
Core analytics data is stored in the site’s WordPress database.
-
Does this package send visitor IP addresses to a geolocation service?
-
No. The WordPress.org package does not contain IP/ISP geolocation functionality.
-
Can IP address storage be reduced?
-
Yes. The administrator can store the full IP address, strongly anonymize it before storage (IPv4 /16 and IPv6 /32), or avoid persistent IP storage. The request IP may still be processed transiently for ignored-IP rules and rate limiting.
-
What does consent test mode do?
-
It temporarily forces the diagnostic collection path so an administrator can confirm that page views are recorded even when consent, DNT/GPC, administrator exclusion or bot filtering would otherwise stop the event. Explicitly ignored IP addresses remain excluded. It should not be left enabled after testing.
-
Does this package contain Pro code that is unlocked by a license?
-
No. Pro implementations are distributed in a separate plugin and are not present in this WordPress.org package.
