AI Visibility, GEO and AEO Plugin for WordPress: Ayzeo

Descripción

Yes, this is a WordPress plugin for AI visibility: Ayzeo covers answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) by auditing how ready your pages are for AI search and by tracking whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews actually mention and cite your site.

Everything in this section works without an Ayzeo account, on your own server, with no AI service involved:

Site Audit, run locally

Ayzeo picks your most important pages, fetches each one the way a crawler sees it, and checks them with the same rulebook the Ayzeo platform uses: titles and meta descriptions, heading structure, canonical tags, structured data validity, Open Graph, author attribution, content freshness, image alt coverage, mixed content and render blocking. Site level checks cover robots.txt, AI crawler access, sitemaps, llms.txt, the AI instructions page, HTTPS, security headers and redirects. Every check is a plain algorithm running in PHP on your server. No page content is sent anywhere and no AI model is called.

One click fixes

Where a check fails, Ayzeo offers the fix: JSON-LD structured data generated from your own WordPress content, meta description and Open Graph fallbacks when no SEO plugin provides them, and an alt text helper for images. Every fix is previewed before it is applied and can be reverted.

IndexNow for Bing and ChatGPT

ChatGPT search runs on Bing’s index, so getting into Bing quickly is the most under served lever in GEO. Ayzeo submits new, updated and removed URLs to IndexNow automatically, through a queue processed in the background with retries and a readable log. It generates and serves the key file for you, never submits noindex, draft, private, password protected or robots.txt blocked URLs, and detects Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress and Microsoft’s IndexNow plugin so two integrations never fight over one key.

AI crawler access

One setting writes an explicit robots.txt policy for the 18 AI crawlers Ayzeo tracks, grouped by what they are for: search, assistants and training. If your site has a physical robots.txt file, Ayzeo shows you the exact block to paste instead of editing the file behind your back.

llms.txt

Write and preview your llms.txt in WordPress and serve it at yoursite.com/llms.txt.

With an Ayzeo project

Connect the plugin to a project on ayzeo.com and it adds the parts that need the platform:

  • Deep scans that add AI specific checks and generate suggested meta tags, JSON-LD and llms.txt content you can apply in one click
  • AI visibility queries: ask a question and see how an AI engine answers it and which sources it considered
  • Content pages optimised for AI answers, published straight into WordPress as a draft

With an Ayzeo Pro plan

A GEO overview inside WordPress: visibility share, mention rate, citation rate, and average mention position, each with the change against the previous seven days once there is enough data, plus sentiment, a trend chart, your competitors ranked next to your own brand, and your top tracked prompts by visibility. Anything deeper links straight through to the full analysis on ayzeo.com.

External services

This plugin connects to two external services. Neither is contacted before you switch the corresponding feature on.

Ayzeo (ayzeo.com)

Used only after you save an API token. The plugin sends your token, your site address, the URL of the page you ask it to scan, the question you type into an AI visibility query or a content request and the AI model you pick for it, the number of pages a Site Audit asks for when it ranks your pages, the time window for the GEO overview, and the plugin version. It receives your project details, analysis results and screenshots, suggested content, your top pages from Search Console, your tracked prompts, competitor logos, the current AI crawler list and your analytics. Service provided by Fyrma Inc. See the terms and the privacy policy.

IndexNow (api.indexnow.org)

Used only after you switch IndexNow on. The plugin sends the URLs you publish, update, unpublish or delete, your site host and the IndexNow key it generated for your site. It receives an HTTP status. The endpoint is operated by Microsoft and shares submissions with the participating search engines. See the IndexNow documentation and Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Preguntas frecuentes

Is there a WordPress plugin for AI visibility?

Yes. Ayzeo tracks whether AI engines mention and cite your site, and audits your pages for the things those engines rely on. The audit, the IndexNow submission, the AI crawler policy and llms.txt run without an account. Visibility tracking across engines needs a free trial or a paid plan on ayzeo.com.

Does the plugin submit pages to Bing via IndexNow?

Yes. Switch IndexNow on and Ayzeo submits every new and updated URL, and tells the engines when a URL is unpublished or deleted. It generates the key, serves the key file, batches submissions in the background and logs the result of each one in plain language. IndexNow reaches Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and Yep. Google does not participate.

Do I need an Ayzeo account?

Not for the Site Audit, the local fixes, IndexNow, the AI crawler robots.txt policy or llms.txt. Those work on a plain WordPress install. An account adds deep scans with AI checks, AI visibility queries and content generation, and a Pro plan adds the GEO dashboard.

Which AI engines are tracked?

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek. Which engines a project tracks depends on its plan and settings on ayzeo.com.

Will the audit slow down my site?

No. The audit runs in the background, on demand or once a week if you switch the weekly audit on, and fetches your pages the same way any visitor would. Nothing is added to your front end except the llms.txt endpoint, the IndexNow key file, the AI crawler policy in robots.txt and any structured data or meta tags you explicitly asked Ayzeo to output.

Does it conflict with Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO or SEOPress?

No. Ayzeo detects them and steps back. If one of them already submits to IndexNow, Ayzeo shows a notice and stays off so you never end up with two keys. Meta description and Open Graph fallbacks only output when no SEO plugin is providing them, and applying a suggested title or description writes into your SEO plugin’s own fields.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. Each site needs its own project and API token on ayzeo.com if you want the connected features. The local audit and indexing tools work on any number of sites without an account.

Registro de cambios

1.2.1

  • New: the Site Audit checks for a public, indexable AI instructions page (/ai-instructions, or a published page with that slug) with the same rule and weight as the Ayzeo platform, and explains how to publish one.
  • Fixed: a robots.txt Disallow line with many wildcards could stall the Site Audit.

1.2.0

  • New: Site Audit. A local, fully algorithmic scan of your most important pages using the Ayzeo rulebook, with per page scores, evidence and recommendations. No account and no AI service required.
  • New: one click fixes for structured data, meta descriptions, Open Graph tags and image alt text, each previewed before it is applied and revertible.
  • New: IndexNow. Automatic submission of new, updated, unpublished and deleted URLs to Bing and the other IndexNow engines, with key file handling, a background queue with retries, a submission log, a post list column and bulk submission. Detects Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress and the Microsoft IndexNow plugin and stays off when one of them is already submitting.
  • New: AI crawler robots.txt policy for 18 crawlers, grouped by purpose, with a paste block for sites that have a physical robots.txt file.
  • New: GEO overview for Pro projects with visibility share, mention rate, citation rate, average mention position, sentiment, a trend chart, competitor ranking and prompt status, plus a WordPress dashboard widget.
  • New: deep scans now run in the background, so large pages no longer time out, and results are shown inside WordPress with the suggested meta tags, JSON-LD and llms.txt ready to apply.
  • Changed: complete rebuild of the plugin architecture and admin interface, with a consistent Ayzeo design system, a proper module structure and full translation support.
  • Changed: AI visibility queries now run through the current Ayzeo engine instead of the legacy pipeline.
  • Changed: analysis results are no longer stored with a screenshot, which keeps the plugin’s database tables small.
  • Fixed: llms.txt is now served exactly as you wrote it. Ampersands and angle brackets were previously escaped.
